Fly from Nairobi to Ukunda Airport (UKA) in just 45 minutes. Daily scheduled flights operate with airlines like Safari Link and Fly-SA. From the airport, it's a 15-minute transfer to your hotel.
Scenic 6-7 hour drive from Nairobi via the Mombasa Highway. The road is well-paved, and the journey offers glimpses of Tsavo East National Park. Many travelers break the journey with a stop at Shimba Hills.
Take the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway to Mombasa (approx. 5 hours), then a 1.5-hour road transfer to Diani. Comfortable and scenic with excellent service aboard the train.
If driving, you'll cross the Likoni Ferry from Mombasa Island to the south coast. The ferry runs frequently (24/7) and takes about 10 minutes. Note: Diani is south of the ferry crossing.
