Diani Beach enjoys tropical weather year-round, making it an excellent destination any time of year. However, the best conditions for beach activities and water sports are during the dry seasons when seas are calm and skies are clear.
Peak Season (December - March & July - October): Sunny days, low humidity, and calm ocean waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Temperatures average 28-32°C. These months are ideal for outdoor activities and coincide with the great migration in the Masai Mara for combined safari-beach trips.
Whale Shark Season (October - March): The south coast around Diani becomes one of the world's best locations to swim with gentle whale sharks. Don't miss this extraordinary experience!
Rainy Seasons: The short rains in November and long rains from April to June bring fewer crowds and lush, green landscapes. Rain typically falls in short, intense bursts, leaving plenty of sunshine. Great for budget travelers seeking value.
